I am currently a phd student in machine learning area. I think a lot about what I want to do with machine learning and how to advance in future job and career. The field so crowded and the competition is brutal. I am not sure if I should do a web front end and back end dev instead after graduation. I can definitely relate to your article that I want to achieve goals and I don't seem to have the means to achieve it.

This is incredibly inspiring, in my opinion, Peng. I think it may be the best one of your collection thus far (at least in how it resonates with me).

I agree 100% about setting audacious long-term goals, but allowing them to be "blurry." That blurriness is okay. I find that things tend to come into focus as we work our way toward them.

Anyways, brilliant stuff. Please keep them coming. :)

Yes, learning to be okay with the “blurriness” and even enjoy the uncertainty (or actually serendipity) is a new perspective for me.
